In the move to a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, D365FO has restricted access to the database. For companies performing an upgrade from a previous version of AX, this is a huge consideration as reporting, data integrations and even some ISVs required that access. There are several possible solutions that have been developed to help alleviate this loss of direct data consumption. This session will look at some of the more popular ones, like Bring Your Own Database (BYODB), and CDS as well as review some of the newer and less known options like Logic Apps. Most of these require a different Azure subscription than is used for the D365FO deployment. This session will do a quick overview of setting up Azure and then demonstrate how each of these connectors work.

Technology without cause can be dangerous. Azure and D365 have an unprecedented potential to help your business, when implemented right. Talk to me about anything Azure and cloud related, I’d love to share what I have seen.
